Hetrick & Associates Insurance Agency is an independent agency located in Marquette, Michigan.  The agency was founded in 1895, and has been owned and managed since 1997 by Bill Hetrick, Chris VanAbel and Scott White.  Since that time, the agency has more than tripled both in revenue and size, with 30 employees currently on staff.  The agency specializes in personal lines, commercial lines, benefits and financial services along with several niche' markets; tribal, surety, transportation, franchise and professional liability to name a few.

As the agency’s CEO for the last 13 years, it has been my privilege to be part of a leadership team that has worked successfully to build long lasting relationships with our customers.  This team, Scott White, Agency Manager and Chris VanAbel, CFO have also allowed me time to be a steward in our community.

It is with great pleasure that I am announcing my transition into a new role as a consultant to the agency effective June 1, 2010.  The CEO duties will be assumed by Scott White.   Scott joined the agency in 1988 and became my partner, along with Chris, in 1993.  During this time Scott was instrumental in developing the agency’s strong niche in Medical Professional Liability, led our sales team to achieve annual goals and built strong relationships with our insurance carriers; all of which contributed to our agency’s significant growth.

Hetrick & Associates is currently a team of 31 dedicated professionals. The agency is a leader in benefits and financial services, commercial insurance for organizations ranging in size from small main street business up to the largest employers in the area. We also specialize in personal insurance with an advanced model for Total Asset Protection going well beyond “home” and “auto”.

I am very excited at the prospect of this new role and anxiously look forward to the exciting things to come.
